We're seeking a Shunt Driver to join our client's team in Sydney, Nova Scotia.

What We Offer:

• Salary: $20/hour

• Job Type/Shift: Full time, Monday-Friday 

What You'll Do:

• Transport clients and/or packages to and from destinations. 

• Perform daily commercial vehicle inspections with the completion of necessary safety checks and monitor the vehicle for any major/minor defects and report it to safety.  

• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew, checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned

• Demonstrate customer service standards for delivery service. 

• Safely parking trailers
• 
  
• Maneuvering loaded and empty trailers

• Ensuring the safe movement of large vehicles and trailers (53’ dry box, flat beds and other custom trailers) around the yard

What We're Looking For:

• Minimum [1 year] of driving experience of class 1 airbrake vehicles. 

• Showing respect and concern for work equipment

• Maneuvering loaded and empty trailers
