Drake International is currently looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk - Administrator to join their team.
What We Offer:
- Reports To: Financial Controller
- Pay Rate: $25 - $28/hr, depending on experience.
- Contract: 3 months – Start Date ASAP.
- Shift: Monday - Friday: 9:30 am to 6:00 pm with ½ hour break.
- Location: Etobicoke ON, M8Z 4E6
What You’ll Do:
The AP Clerk - Administrator - will be responsible for ensuring that related invoices are recorded in a timely manner and that suppliers/vendors and paid within their negotiated terms. This role supports a centralized AP function.
- Responsible for high volume accounts payables, HST filings, monthly bank reconciliations and bank draws, general bookkeeping and assisting with the preparation of year-end working papers.
- Responsible for providing financial, administrative, and clerical support to the organization. The role is to complete payments and control expenses by receiving payments, plus processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices. Ensures day-to-day management of all payment cycle activities in a timely and efficient manner.
- Monitor the centralized inbox for invoices from suppliers/vendors to ensure liabilities are recorded in a timely manner.
- Ensure accuracy and documentation of all pieces of the accounts payable function, including accuracy of invoices, purchase orders, payments, data entry and filing.
- Ensure timely payment of outstanding invoices from suppliers/vendors and reimbursement of employee expenses.
- Continue to find improvements and efficiencies for processing and departmental internal controls.
What We're Looking For:
- This position requires someone with a post-secondary diploma/degree related to Accounting or Finance.
- A minimum of 2 years related Accounts Payable Bookkeeping work experience.
- Must also be computer literate and proficient with the programs in Microsoft Office suite with exceptional Excel – Pivot Tables experience.
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
